Ashley had her first experience swimming as an infant but was in her prime when her parents opened and managed a snack bar at Watter’s Smith Memorial State Park in Lost Creek, West Virginia. Everyday Ashley was able to enjoy swimming and learning from the lifeguards who worked at the facility. As a teen, Ashley found herself working at this very park! She is a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College, where she obtained her bachelor of science degree in exercise science. Ashley also has minors in literature and psychology and has also obtained her TESOL certification for teaching, as well as a special needs education certification. Ashley is an avid lover of the outdoors and has a passion for learning about health and wellness and helping others learn about the industry. She is honored to be a member of the WRCWC team and focus on the aquatic aspect of health and wellness.
