Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Program

An effective mindfulness based program designed to reduce stress and positively effect physical health and emotional well-being.

This life-affirming and participative program is modeled after the acclaimed MBSR Program at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. The classes provide techniques to help participants cope with the stress of cancer, heart disease, chronic pain, anxiety and depression, autoimmune disease, eating disorders, diabetes, work and home-life pressures, grief and other conditions.

The program consists of seven weekly classes, each two hours in length, and a half-day Sunday Retreat, providing:

- Guided instruction on meditation

- Gentle stretching and yoga

- Group discussion to increase mindfulness in our everyday lives

- Home practice CD and handouts

108 Sun Salutations

The traditional Yoga ritual of completing 108 Sun Salutations is over 2,500 years old. This class consists of a 12 movement sequence performed in a continuous flow with intentions to improve the strength and flexibility of the muscles. Participants will find that this practice is a unique way to challenge the body and focus the mind in a moving meditation.

Some Yoga experience is recommended.

Erin has been teaching Yoga for over 17 years.  She is a Master in the Korean martial arts of Tang Soo Do, certified in Pilates, and Group Exercise.  Erin enjoys sharing the knowledge and practice of Yoga in its traditional forms by embracing the importance of purpose, physical and mental benefits, and self journey.

Trauma and Tragedy Healing Workshop

Break the Cycle of Family Trauma. Heal the Past. Learn to Live a Healthy, Happy and Fulfilled Life. This workshop allows you to connect to your roots and reveals the hidden dynamics in your family of origin. Difficult fates and traumatic experiences in previous generations may continue to create havoc as a hidden pattern in the present generation. Learn to reveal the secrets and mysteries in your family and let the love flow. Every family experiences drama, trauma and tragedies. Some common family trauma includes consequences of: Early & Premature Deaths, Ostracized Family Members Children of Separated or Divorced Parents, Adopted Children Abortions, Miscarriages and Stillborn Children. This workshop assists you in resolving the unhealthy entanglements with your family, thus enabling you to experience inner peace and the freedom to live a healthy, happy and fulfilled life.  Everyone attending the seminar is able to feel the effect of these entanglements — and the peace that results from their resolution.

Spa Yoga

Saturday, November 4

Enjoy a Saturday afternoon with this two-hour restorative yoga class that will incorporate massage throughout your practice.

Bring your body into balance with two hours of relaxing, healing restorative yoga. This class will start with a soothing paraffin dip to soften your hands. Therapeutic massage will be given during each pose to bring you to a state of balance throughout your yoga practice. This class brings an element of luxury and pampering but with heightened awareness around a deeper level of well-being than you would find anywhere else.  Not only will this restorative class provide you with the time of relaxation, rest and repose, the spa treatments are part of balancing therapies for overall wellness, both inside and out.

Community Yoga

Every Friday

5:00 - 6:00 PM

FREE and open to the public. This introductory class focuses on basic poses that stretch and strengthen our bodies. All levels of practitioners are welcome, however, emphasis will be placed on the novice student.
