Kendra graduated from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. She is a Certified Exercise Physiologist (EP) through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and an EXOS-certified Performance Specialist (XPS). After graduating with a degree in Exercise Science, Kendra realized how diverse her options would be at the WRCWC, and joined the Center in 2006. Kendra loves what she does for the Center because it gives her the opportunity to make a difference in individuals' lives every day.

Eric graduated with a degree in Sports Medicine from Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania. He is a Certified Exercise Physiologist (EP) through the American College of Sports Medicine and an EXOS-certified Performance Specialist (XPS). He joined the Wellness Center team in 2010. Eric’s interest in exercise, fitness, and health began at an early age with competitive participation in a variety of sports, which over time included baseball, wrestling, soccer, basketball, football, and volleyball. It was the strength and conditioning program he participated in for basketball starting in 7th grade that led to a love of weight training and exercise as a means of performance enhancement and as a healthy habit. Eric found that he enjoyed assisting his friends with their own workouts and educating people in general about how to apply what he had learned to their lives. He’s grateful for the opportunity he has to do this every day now as a Wellness Center employee.

Marissa obtained her undergraduate degree from California University of Pennsylvania, where she was introduced to Pilates and Indoor Cycling to keep her healthy and active. Loving how Pilates challenged her mind and body, she was inspired and took a more involved approach, gaining Basic & Advanced certifications in Mat and Reformer Pilates through IM=X Pilates. For the past 8 years, Marissa has dedicated herself as a full time fitness instructor and business owner.  Through the years, Marissa has expanded her fitness knowledge and certifications to include NAFC Group Fitness, Pilates Tower, Chair, Barre, and Keiser Cycling. Marissa is a passionate instructor who fuels her competitive spirit by helping others challenge themselves and break through their personal fitness goals.

Katie earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Exercise Science and her Bachelors of Art Degree in Physical Education from Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio in 2008. During college, Katie started teaching group exercise classes and earned her Primary Group Exercise Certification through AFAA (American Fitness and Aerobics Association). Upon graduation, she became a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and a certified Kettlebell Cardio Instructor (KBC). Katie is also a certified EXOS Performance Specialist .Katie enjoys working with clients of all ages and populations.  Her training specialties include Power Lifting, Weight Loss, Chronic Conditions, Obstacle Course Prep, and Marathon Prep. Katie enjoys competing and has competed in 5K’s, 10K’s, half marathons, and mud races.

Shane graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. He holds certifications as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as well as EXOS certifications as a Performance Specialist and Fitness Specialist. Shane has had several health and fitness experiences from working at the collegiate level with the Pitt men’s and women’s basketball team to an internship with Allegheny Health Network Sports Performance working with diverse populations such as developing youth, teens, active adults, professional athletes, and those with chronic conditions. He aims to help his clients not only reach peak performance, but become healthier individuals that can maintain a superb quality of life. Shane believes that while exercising can be tough, everyone can do some form of it and ultimately it should be enjoyable in order to see the greatest results.

 Kortlyn graduated from Waynesburg University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).  While attending Waynesburg University, she participated in both Women’s Basketball and Lacrosse.   Kortlyn’s athletic background has shaped her into a lifelong competitor, striving to challenge all those she comes into contact with to work towards their athletic and health and fitness goals. Kortlyn has experience in many fitness settings, including Athletic Performance, Power Lifting, Strength, Speed and Agility and Injury Rehabilitation.  Kortlyn believes that as a trainer she should never ask a client to perform an exercise that she herself cannot execute.  She challenges herself and her clients to grow continually in mind, body and spirit.

Amat Victoria Curam.

Jordan completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology at West Liberty University and is currently completing his Master’s Degree in Applied Exercise Science. He is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). Jordan has worked in many different facets of health and wellness, including experience as a high school speed and agility coach, in cardiac rehabilitation, and on staff for Community Wellness Services at the University of Dayton. He has had athletes go on to play collegiate level volleyball and football. Jordan’s passion for exercise began through group fitness classes, but quickly expanded into triathlons and adventure races. He discovered his love of resistance training through these activities. Though he enjoys constantly expanding upon his knowledge of exercise science, he especially enjoys working with special populations, athletes, and beginners. Outside of work, Jordan enjoys spending time with family, playing music, cooking, and watching movies.

Josh graduated from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science in 2011. He is a Certified Exercise Physiologist (EP) through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). Josh has been with the Wilfred R. Cameron Wellness Center since 2011. He became a personal trainer because he has a passion for helping people achieve all that they are capable of becoming. He has always been a firm believer that EVERYONE is capable of doing amazing things if they challenge themselves and put forth the effort. He enjoys guiding and assisting his clients, while keeping them motivated along their journey. His training specialties include Athletic Performance, Weight Loss, Figure/Body Building Prep, Chronic Conditions and Strength. Outside of work, Josh likes to practice what he preaches by challenging himself through different resistance-training programs and playing sports.

Bill attended and played football for Malone University in Canton, Ohio, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Adult Fitness. He continued his education at Kent State University, where he received his master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and is currently in the final stages of a second master’s degree in Nutrition and PhD in Exercise Physiology. Bill also obtained certifications as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist, USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach, Functional Movement Screen practitioner, and Personal Trainer. The drive for his educational pursuits comes from his passion to help all people reach any performance or health goal they have. Bill believes that the focus of all training is movement. Some want to increase the amount of movement they can perform, the strength and speed of particular movements, or use movements to increase general health and reduce pain. Working as a personal trainer, strength and conditioning coach, and in physical rehab settings has given Bill the experience to help all people become better, regardless of where they start from.

Emily graduated from Edinboro University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Performance. She is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and an EXOS-certified Performance Specialist (XPS). She worked as a manager and Personal Trainer at SNAP Fitness prior to joining the Wellness Center team in 2013. Aside from general exercise, Emily enjoys staying active through athletic sports such as volleyball and softball. Having experience as a first team region high school and college fast-pitch pitcher, Emily offers fast-pitch pitching lessons as part of an athletic conditioning program. Emily has also competed and placed in two NPC bikini competitions. Her training specialties include Weight Loss, Athletic Conditioning, Bikini Competition Prep, and Teen Programming.

Butch graduated in 2014 from IUP with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. He is a Certified Exercise Physiologist (EP) through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and an EXOS-certified Performance Specialist (XPS). Butch takes great pride in being a trainer and makes it his personal goal to ensure that each of his clients feel accomplished every day. He says that getting the opportunity to change someone’s lifestyle into a healthy one is the most rewarding thing he could ask for. His training specialties include Weight Loss, Strength, Flexibility and Balance. Butch’s hobbies include Tough Mudder races and marathons; he enjoys any challenges he can find.

Jackson graduated from West Virginia University with a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science. (Let’s goooo Mountaineers!) He has been a trainer since 2006 and is a Certified Exercise Physiologist (EP) through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and an EXOS-certified Performance Specialist (XPS). Jackson recently added a Pilates Reformer certification to expand his personal training abilities. Jackson feels that proper squats (his favorite exercise) are essential for everyone whether it be for sports, work or daily activities. One of his many specialties is training high school athletes. He has had clients go on to play football in Division I-AA, and Division I baseball. Jackson believes that everyone has a little athlete inside regardless of their age or ability, because being an athlete is more mental than anything. Jackson himself has trained for Semi Pro football, sprint triathlons, half marathons, and two body building competitions. He always has an end goal in mind when he is working out, and that is how he trains and motivates members here at the center. He is committed to seeing people reach their fitness goals.

Lynn turned to Pilates in 1999 for relief from lower back pain. Not only did she permanently eliminate her pain, she felt so much stronger and more energized that she soon began training to become an instructor through PHI Pilates. She has now taught all levels of Pilates for the last 16 years, including personal training, and is studying for a certification through the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA). Lynn also has participated in several PHI produced instructional DVDs.

Joanna is a graduate of Lock Haven University with a BS in Health Science and Bloomsburg University with an MS in Exercise Science. She is an EXOS-certified Performance Specialist. Joanna became interested in the health and fitness field while participating in track, softball, basketball, and volleyball in high school. Throughout college, Joanna worked as a Personal Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Coach. She continued her career by joining the Wellness Center staff in 2015. Her interests outside of work include working out, cooking, hiking, and traveling. Joanna enjoys helping anyone she can to reach their health and fitness goals and particularly enjoys working with individuals interested in weight loss or sport performance.

Erin discovered her love of exercise at age 11 as she followed along to her mother's step aerobics DVDs. She began her fitness teaching journey as a Johnny G. Spinning instructor 15 years ago. Since then she has expanded her teaching to include boot camp, circuit training, strength, core and yoga. She received her boot camp training through IDEA Health & Fitness Association and achieved her Yoga Fitness Instructor Level II certification from the American Fitness Professionals Association (AFPA). She also received her Personal Training Certification through AFPA in 2013. She believes in five quadrants for optimum fitness health: cardio, strength training, healthy eating, stretching (yoga) and finding the joy while doing it!

Taylor graduated from Edinboro University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Performance. She is an EXOS-certified Fitness Specialist (XFS). Taylor’s passion for health and fitness grew after she graduated Air Force basic training in 2010 and wanted to continue learning about health and physical activity. Taylor has competed in collegiate bikini competitions as well as intermural basketball and ultimate Frisbee. She worked as a Personal Trainer and group exercise instructor at a YMCA, assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at West Allegheny High School, and assistant coach at a CrossFit gym. Having a military background has taught her that a person can do anything they set their mind to and no obstacle is too big as long as they continue to fight for it. Taylor’s background in different types of exercise has helped shape her to be a well-rounded trainer and see the potential in every client she trains. Aside from regular exercise, Taylor enjoys hiking, swimming, and staying active in other outdoor activities. She specializes in weight loss, athletic training, sport specific training, and strength training.

AJ graduated from Wheeling Park High school as the team captain of the swimming and diving team and varsity letterman in swimming, diving, and cross country. She went on to graduate from West Virginia University with a BS in Sports Management with the aspiration of opening a fitness facility. She is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). From the first time she visited the Wellness Center, she knew she wanted to work here. Her training specialty is weight loss. AJ enjoys running marathons, swimming, horseback riding and anything outdoors. She has a passion for inspiring people to lead healthy and active lifestyles.
