Katie graduated with dual Bachelor’s degrees in Exercise Science and Physical Education from the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio. She has served as a swim coach, swim lesson instructor, water aerobics instructor, swimming strength and conditioning coach, and competitive swim lesson instructor through the last eleven years. Katie is a certified pool operator through the National Swimming Pool Foundation. She has also served a certified personal trainer with the American College of Sports Medicine for eight years and has worked in fitness management where she was a wellness program developer for children, teens, and adults.  Katie also teaches a variety of group exercise classes and holds her Kettlebell Cardio Certification.

Amy is a Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructor and has been teaching swimming lessons for 30 years, 12 of which have been at the Wilfred R Cameron Wellness Center.  She also coached Trinity Swim Team for four years.  Teaching beginner swimmers is her favorite aspect of the job, but she is also experienced  instructing older swimmers in stroke improvement and teaching children with autism.

Tabatha has been professionally working in aquatics for years. She began by volunteering to help with swimming lessons. She got certified by the Red Cross as a Water Safety Aide for two years before getting her Water Safety Instructor certification. She was also certified as a Life Guard for a few years and recently got re-certified. She’s worked at a number of aquatic facilities before coming to the Wilfred R. Cameron Wellness Center. Tabatha loves working with people of all ages to become comfortable and safe in the water.

Emily is a retired art teacher who has been a team member with the Wellness Center for 3 years.  Her responsibilities include summer Kids Camp Supervisor, group and private Swim Instructor, certified Belay Instructor and indoor Cycling Instructor.  Emily is a passionate teacher who adores children of all ages.

Maria teaches group lessons for children and private lessons for adults and children.  She also leads group exercise classes, including H2O Challenge and Aquacise.  Before starting to work with individuals, she spends time talking with them about their goals, current ability and any special challenges they face so that she can tailor lessons to their specific needs.  A self-taught swimmer who grew up in Germany, she raised two daughters who both swam competitively.  She served as a swim official and eventually earned her Water Safety Instructor certification.  Out of the water, she also works as a spin instructor.

Mary Skiffington has been working as an Aquatic Instructor since 2006 at the WRC Wellness Center.  She has been swimming most of her life, for pleasure and in competitive swim. Mary has been trained as a Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguard and Water Aerobics Instructor.  She has been an assistant coach for a summer pool in Sharon PA.  Mary loves being in the water and brings an ease to her clients.  She loves teaching all to swim (young and old), and people with fears. Mary tries to make everyday a new experience.

Christine received her bachelor's degree from Mount Union College and her Master's degree from California University of Pennsylvania.  She is a certified athletic trainer and Red Cross Certified Lifeguard. Christine has been teaching swimming for several years and work with all levels including coaching Master’s.  She loves swimming because she likes to see each individual develop at their own pace and reach their goals.
