Aqua Class Descriptions

Aqua Strong

An invigorating, low impact water fitness class that combines both strength training and cardiovascular conditioning exercises. Use the resistance of the water and a variety of aquatic equipment to challenge your strength and stamina. Your heart will pound…but your joints will not!

Aqua Jog

A great endurance workout with intervals of stretching and resistance training using hand buoys. Expect continuous movement through the water constantly using the arms, hips, and legs. The hydrostatic pressure of the water makes this a great alternative to running for those who have joint pain but also challenging conditioning for running athletes looking to shake up their routine.

Aqua Flex

Held in the warm-water therapy pool. Increase flexibility, range of motion, muscle strength and overall well- being in this aquatic class that uses the natural properties of warm water in our therapy pool. Ease stress and discomfort of chronic pain, arthritis and injuries in this gentle, yet energizing aquatic class.

Aqua Zumba ®

Known as the Zumba “pool party,” Aqua Zumba gives new meaning to the idea of an exhilarating workout. Combining the Zumba formula and philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines, Aqua Zumba is a fun, effective, and challenging water-based workout will have you splash dancing like a star!

H2O Challenge

A series of heart-pumping drills using a variety of equipment and utilizing the resistance of the water combined with rebounding in the lap pool.

Aquatic classes offer many health and wellness benefits, including:
  • Strengthening muscles and improving physical fitness
  • Injury recovery and rehabilitation
  • Lowering blood pressure
  • Improving balance and coordination
  • Reducing anxiety, stress, and insomnia
  • Assisting with weight loss
  • Easing joint and back pain
  • Improving flexibility
Aquatic classes are the perfect solution for those looking for an enjoyable and effective way to stay fit! With no pressure on joints or limbs, our aquatics classes can provide a low-impact workout that still challenges all major muscle groups.
