General Policies

UPDATED MASKING MANDATE:

With the decline in transmission rates and hospitalizations related to COVID-19, WHS and  WRCWC have removed all mask mandates, effective immediately.

Members, Staff and Visitors may continue to mask if they feel comfortable doing so and masks will continue to be available.  An individuals masking decision should be treated with respect.

For existing members – as you come back to our community we invite you to share with us any recent developments or goals in your new routine. Our approach is and always will be tailored to you.

Interested in meeting with an exercise physiologist to help you with your game plan and learn how to work out with a mask?  Please call 724.250.5249 to get scheduled with your complimentary modification consultation.

OUR NON-MEMBER OPTIONS:

We do allow a trial visit. If you have a friend or family member that would like to join the center please have them call a membership advisor, 724.250.5208, and have them use your name for the referral. If they join then you will then receive a $50 gift card to use on anything at the center.

Only current MEMBERS, in good standing, of the Center may bring a non-member friend to the Center.  There is a fee for the use of this privilege.  Paying this fee does not constitute any type of membership to the Center; nor, does it allow the visiting friend trying out the center any type of membership privileges to the Center.

IDENTIFICATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL NON-MEMBERS.

NON-MEMBERS COMING IN TO TRY THE CENTER ON THEIR OWN MUST BE 18 or OLDER.

Children ages 14-17 are allowed to JOIN A MEMBER for a trial as long as they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who is a current Member, in good standing, of the Center.  Parents, Grandparents, and Legal Guardians MUST stay with child(ren) during their time at the Center and are responsible for the conduct of the child(ren).  Grandparents must provide a liability waiver signed by the parent or legal guardian.

All non-members must sign a waiver every time they visit and must follow all rules and regulations that members follow. That includes but is not limited to: no talking on cell phones, except in our lobby and no pictures or videos anywhere in the center.

Pickle Ball.  All Non-Member Pickle Ball participants are required to sign-in at the front desk and sign a waiver BEFORE going to the gymnasium to play.  There is a fee for Non-Member players.  Paying this fee does not constitute any type of membership to the Center.

Special Events.  All Non-Members are required to sign-in at the front desk and sign a waiver.

The health and safety of our members and non-members is our highest priority. Any violation of these policies may suspend or terminate your membership, center access, or participation in special events.

We may change these policies at any time without notice, in our sole discretion. As a member or non-member of WRCWC, you are responsible and expected to review and comply with these policies at all times.

DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION:

At WRCWC, we believe that everyone benefits when we value diversity, equity and inclusion.

Diversity

Diversity is defined as variations of characteristics in a group of people. There are certain characteristics that people are born with, like race, sex, and ethnicity. There is also diversity in terms of life experiences, education, socioeconomics, religious affiliation, disabilities, gender identity and veteran status. At Washington Health System and WRCWC, we believe that when we respect and appreciate each other’s unique human experiences, we can gain a different perspective and grow as people and an organization. Diversity fosters appreciation.

Inclusion

Inclusion is an organizational effort to ensure that diverse individuals and groups are treated equally, welcomed and accepted. Inclusion makes people feel valued for the unique attributes that they bring to a group. Many times inclusion necessitates organizational changes from shift in mind-set to modifications in processes and even physical spaces.

Cultural and ethnic diversity of members can also cause inequities in care.

Cultural norms and customs may require adaptations and language barriers can cause important information to be lost in communication. We have increased the availability and knowledge of our language line to provide services to members who are in need of such services.

The WRCWC has always valued diversity but we also understand that we need to be constantly learning and adjusting as an organization to meet the changing needs of the community.  We are proud to have the privilege of working with and for a diverse population. We look forward to learning and growing as a workplace, wellness provider and community member by integrating diversity and inclusion in all aspects of our organization.
