Cameron Wellness Center has Registered Dietitians/Licensed Nutritionists on staff to help you get the best results. Whether you are interested in weight loss, disease management and prevention or you just want to feel better, this is where you need to be.

Nutrition plays a vital role in everyone’s health and wellness. Dietitians are the experts that can pinpoint your areas of improvement and guide you in making the changes necessary to reach your goals.

The Wilfred R. Cameron Wellness Center offers an array of nutrition services, choose from the following options:

 

Private & Semi-Private Initial Consultation

1-hour consultation to get you started. Semi-private sessions are designed for 2 individuals that would like to share a consult; parent/child, siblings, friends, spouse.

Individual Initial Consult: Member: $55M/Non-Member $65
Semi-Private Initial Consult: Member: $90/Non-Member $110

Private Consultation Plus Nutrition Test

1-hour consultation plus a nutrition test of choice to better assess your status and outline the best plan of action. Sample meal plans will be provided. Results provided the same day test is performed.

Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) — indirect calorimetry, gold standard for determining calorie needs. Member: $88/Non-Member $105. (Test only $45)

Cholesterol check — total lipid profile and fasting blood glucose. Member: $73/Non-Member: $90 (Test only $30)

Hemoglobin A1c — measure of your blood glucose control over 2-3 month period. Member: $68/Non-Member $78. (Test only $25)

Nutrition Follow-Up Sessions

Continued support and nutrition information from the dietitian, these 30-minute follow-up sessions are designed to provide progress check-ups, goal setting and nutrition education.

Individual Follow-Up: Member: $30/Non-Member $40
Semi-Private Follow-Up: Member $40/Non-Member: $50

Customized 7 Day Meal Plan

A meal plan completely customized and structured to your needs and food preferences. This option is great for those interested in weight loss/gain, heart health, diabetes management, specific food allergy or avoidance and much more! Member: $165/Non-Member: $205

Weight Loss Fitness & Nutrition Package

  • Customized 7-day meal plan and RMR test
  • Individual 1-hour nutrition consultation
  • 2 30-minute nutrition consultation follow-ups
  • 12 1-hour personal training sessions (3 training sessions per week for 1 month. Please note that sessions expire 24 weeks after the date of purchase.)
  • Member: $734/Non-Member: $917

FitStops Plus (Weekly Weight Management Program)

  • When you join this program you will receive a 1-hour individual nutrition consultation to get started.
  • After the initial consultation the FitStops Plus Member will meet with a dietitian weekly (15 minutes) for at least six months or a year.

The Dietitian Will:

  • Track progress (weight, BMI, blood pressure, waist circumference)
  • Monitor nutrition intake and make necessary recommendations
  • Provide sample meal patterns, nutrition education and resources

You will receive the accountability and structure necessary to maximize your results and reach your wellness goals. All Fitstops Plus Members are enrolled in the Nutrition Club and receive an additional 15% off all nutrition classes, cooking demonstrations, grocery store tours, nutrition services and supplements.

Individual Shop with the Dietitian

Go on your own one hour personal tour of the grocery store with the dietitian. You will learn the best items to include in your shopping cart and those to avoid. Each shopping session is customized to your nutrition goals (heart health, weight loss, specific food sensitivities, etc). You will also receive a customized shopping list. Member: $75/Non-Member $90.

Cooking Demo Summer Salads

Sweet, Savory and Umami: Nothing Says Summer Like Tasty Salads!

Led by Registered Dietitian, Jacqueline Ely and Michael Passalacqua, owner of Angelo’s Restaurant, participants will learn how to break away from traditional salads. The cooking demonstration instructors will use local grains, vegetables, fruits, beans and meats to make unforgettable salad combinations. Demo will be held outside under a tent.

Way to Weight Loss

July 11 – December 19

Tuesdays, 6:00 7:30PM

This program is designed to produce rapid weekly weight loss. Medically-supervised weight management program taught by Registered Dietitians and Exercise Physiologists. The program consists of weekly 90 minute group sessions for 6 months and meal replacement supplements. The average weight loss is 12-16% over 6 months, with likely improvements in management of diabetes, blood pressure, mobility and overall wellness.

Spin and Learn about your Chronotype

Thursday, July 20

9:00 – 10:00AM

Instructor: Jacqueline Ely

Spin and learn combines fitness and nutrition all while learning about the association between chronotype and the psychological constructs of eating behaviors. Learn your chronotype and how to improve your diet to suit your  specific needs. Each chronotype will reveal exactly what you need to do to work with your body, not against it. Class is led by Registered Dietitian and Spin Instructor, Jacqueline Ely. Participants will experience 30 minutes of cycling followed by 20 minutes of discussion in a conference room. The cycling portion of this class will be a beginner to intermediate level.
