Whether you want to get into better shape or change up your current routine, you may be considering group classes or personal training to take your fitness to the next level. You may be wondering which one is best for your fitness goals.
At Wilfred R. Cameron Wellness Center, we’ve put together a guide on group classes and personal training to help you determine which one works best for you.
When you choose group classes, you have the opportunity to become a part of a team. This can help you increase your motivation and motivate you to work harder during your workouts. Knowing that you have a group expecting you to be at class can also help hold you accountable to make it to your workout session. Group classes also provide you with the opportunity to meet new friends who have a common goal of improving their health.
Group classes can also help push you out of your comfort zone and encourage you to try new exercises and types of workouts. If you are looking for a sense of teamwork and a chance to try new things, group training is for you.
When you work with a personal trainer, you will have one-on-one professional instruction. Rather than the instructor dividing their attention among multiple people in a class, you will have the full supervision and safety that a personal trainer can offer, which will ensure you are using the correct form to avoid injury.
Personal trainers will learn your strengths and weaknesses and tailor your plan to your goals, providing you with customized results. They can also help you set realistic goals that can help keep you motivated and ensure that your workouts continually progress.
Personal training is for you if you are looking for one-on-one instruction, attainable, personalized goals, and custom exercise plans.
